For committed and competitive players ages 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18 as of 9/1/16 who are seeking great technical instruction and the opportunity to compete at the highest level of USA Jr Volleyball. Players and parents on Power teams are expected to be committed both financially and in time for the duration of the season, December - May. The Power League teams will compete in the NCVA Power League which may require traveling up to 3 hours to a tournament to play in a competitive league. All of our teams are taught from our Club wide training program derived from the Gold Medal Squared strategies and techniques.
Practices: Late November – May. 2 hours x 2 days a week. 18's Season Late November - mid March
Conditioning: Incorporated before or during practice
Uniform: 2 practice shirts, 1 short-sleeve jersey, 1 long-sleeve jersey, spandex, (warm-up jacket and warm-up pants tbd)
Tournaments: Are played on Saturday and/or Sunday. Junior Far Westerns is a 3 day tournament played on Friday or Monday. 7 League Days, 11 Special Tournament Days, 1 Club Jamboree. Schedules are posted on each individual team page. 15's-18's teams travel out of state to participate in College Showcase and Junior National Qualifiers.
Travel: Tournaments can be 1-3 hour drive. There are at least 3 overnight tournaments during the season.
League Tournaments: 12's-16's NCVA Power League, Northern California Volleyball Association part of USA Volleyball. 17/18's only participate in Special Tournaments and 2 non-leagues
Under 12's - 14's: Cal Kickoff, Presidents Day, Jr. Far Westerns
Under 15's - 16's: Cal Kickoff, Presidents Day, Jr. Far Westerns, Colorado Crossroads
Under 18's: President's Day, Golden State Qualifier, and Colorado Crossroads
